To Be Or Not To Be… Donna Reed

Hi, well, I thought I would post this because it is my blog and I like to share. :)

We had unexpected company the other day. Two salesmen from an insurance firm. They were very nice and there wasn’t a hard sell, so I thought I would offer them refreshments. We NEVER have unexpected company, so I wondered, What’s the drill… Well, I asked them if they would like something to drink and they said that water would be good. So I went out in the kitchen and tried to think my best Donna Reed thoughts. What to serve with… water? Checked the cupboard. Nope, no homemade goodies there. (Sometimes we have Oreos.) So I shrugged my shoulders, reached into my favorite stash in the freezer and pulled out frozen chocolate kisses, thinking everyone loves chocolate kisses, frozen or not. I poured them onto a small plate, stood tall (5’3″ isn’t short in my book), and took them to the guys.

So, the purpose of all this is to let you know that Donna Reed is alive and well, right here in Iowa. Kind of…

I’m A Red Hat Lady!

I’m a Red Hat Lady!  Does that tell my age?  That’s OK.  (Even though I rarely tell because I figure if people don’t know my age, I don’t have to act it.)  It’s weird, I know, but all my birthdays are ”big birthdays”.   Always have been.  I celebrate the whole month of January and even into February if I can get away with it.  “Can I pick the show? My birthday is closest.”  Stuff like that.  :)

Getting back to the Red Hat Ladies, if you are interested, I have a site called, “A Red Hat Lady” and you can see it here http://aredhatlady.com  I hope you like it.  I have lots of friends there and pictures and stuff.  Oh, that reminds me.  I’ve got the next program for September and I think it’s fast approaching the end of September.  I’d better get a move on.  :)

I think we’ll go to my favorite restaurant in Forest City — Shooters.  The food is delicious and I love the atmosphere.  I hope it’s not too “old hat”, though.  I think I took them there last year at this time.  Doesn’t matter.  It’s close to home, easy to get to, we have a great time and all I have to do is come up with a theme.  Sounds easy enough.  Actually the hardest part is getting hold of everyone.  They’ve got caller ID.  Ha ha.  That’s a joke in case anyone doesn’t realize it.

I Just Thought I’d Tell You a Little Bit About Myself

Hi!  Here is one thing you probably don’t know about me:  I have a 102 year old grandmother.  My sister and I visit her quite often and my sister always hugs Grandma first and says “Good-bye and I love you.”  So I always follow up next with “Good-bye, Grandma.  I love you more” and we all giggle.  Well, my sister wasn’t there this last week end, but I still said “I love you.”  She laughed and said, “You’d better.” Then she just gigled and giggled.  I just love visiting my Grandma!

Another paragraph from "The Secret"

Do you have needs? Wants? Are they being fulfilled? This paragraph from “The Secret” gives you the way to have them fulfilled.

“Everything you want is an inside job! The outside world is the world of effects; it’s just the result of thoughts. Set your thoughts and frequency on happiness. Radiate the feelings of happiness and joy within you, and transmit that into the Universe with all of your mind, and you will experience true heaven on earth.”

Read that every day and see how your life can change.

Welcome to Jan Tincher's Blog!

Hi To All My Blogger Friends!

This blog is here because I want everyone to know that “Your life is in your hands. No matter where you are now, no matter what has happened in your life, you can begin to consciously choose your thoughts and you can change your life. There is no such thing as a hopeless situation. Everything in your life can change.” That is from “The Secret” by Rhonda Byrne.

I read it EVERY day. People ask me why I do that. Don’t I get tired of it? Listen, I will do everything I can to keep the above paragraph in my mind. I will never forget it, I will never give up, I will never lose hope. And if I can share that with others, then I will do everything I can to do that.

If that is your quest, also, then let me know. Let me know how you accomplish your peace, keep your hope, live your faith.

Also, let me know if you have any questions about accomplishing your peace, keeping your hope, living your faith. I will answer as quickly as possible!

Thank you for reading. I look forward to hearing from you.

Jan
